Connect To Computer
To connect to a computer using OptiTune's Remote Connect feature, from the "Computer Details" page, click on "Remote Connect":
Before clicking on Remote Connect, you will need to verify that the Computer is in fact connected to OptiTune by looking at the "Status" field above, which should be "Connected" if the computer has an active connection to OptiTune. If the computer is powered off or not connected to the internet, you will not be able to connect to it through Remote Connect. You can also see other real time information on this page such as the Polling Interval, and Last Contact.
After clicking on "Remote Connect", you will be brought to the "Connect to Computer" page:
If you have already installed the "Remote Connect", your browser will prompt you to open "OptiTune Remote Connect". Press "Open OptiTune Remote Connect" in the browser prompt to start the connection. Otherwise, you will need to install the "Remote Connect" software by clicking on the link under step #1, and running the installer. Then once you have installed the software, you can press "Open Connection" to reopen the connection link.
Alternatively, you may also download an ".otc" file and manually open this file in the "Remote Connect" application to make the connection, if the browser is not automatically prompting you to open "OptiTune Remote Connect".
Finally, if you have completed a session, and want to connect again and are still on this page, you will need to press the "Restart Connection" button to do so.
Once the OptiTune Remote Connect software establishes the connection, you can then control the remote computer's desktop using your keyboard and mouse.
Or, transfer files to or from the remote computer as well (from "Tools" > "File Transfer").
