Event Log Summary
To view the a summary of windows event log events, click on the "Monitoring" tab, then select "Windows Event Log", and then "Event Log".
On this screen, you will find the event log summary for the selected computer or group of computers. You can select which computer/group is displayed by clicking on the "Change" button at the top of the screen.
You can also click on any of the data values in blue to see more information.
Filtering
You can filter the results by Log, Level, Source, or Date Range using the controls at the top of the screen.
Columns
This screen has the following columns:
Level - the level of the event log entry (e.g. Informational, Warning, Error, Critical)
Log - the name of the event log (e.g. Application, System, Security, etc...)
Source - the source that created the event log entry
Event ID - the event id for the event log entry, typically unique to the event log source
Computers - the number of computers with the given (Log, Source, Event ID, Level) grouping of events
Event Count - the number of events with the given (Log, Source, Event ID, Level) grouping
Last Occurred - the date and time of the most recent event of the given type of event
Last Message - a user readable message for the last event log entry of the given type. Clicking on it will show all details for the particular event log entry
